“I have taken several styles of martial arts to include Karate and Tae Kwon Do. I decided I wanted to learn Muay Thai and when I moved to Katy in 2014, I started looking for a gym. I came across Texas Kickboxing Academy and decided to try it out. Needless to say, I was a little nervous at first, but after the first lesson I knew this the place I wanted to train. I wanted to learn proper technique and have the skill to defend myself if I ever needed to. I was also looking for a way to get into shape, as well as a way to boost my confidence. I am very proud of what I have accomplished… becoming an instructor and facing my fears of public speaking. The Martial arts have done wonders for me and will continue to do so.” Mr. Medrano has been training under Sifu Garcia for almost 3 years and is currently working toward his Black belt. He has been teaching at the academy for over 2 years. He trains in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and competes in full-contact amateur kickboxing and Muay Thai.
